Happy Birthday Flip Card - Paper Shelter Rosie

No matter how old you get, if you can keep the desire to be creative, you're keeping the child alive.      John Cassavetes

The Paper Shelter "Rosie" digi;  Heartfelt Creations stamps, dies, mold; Copic markers,
gold leafing pen, Authentic Imagine dp, Sizzix Framelits sentiment

Hey there,

I'm thrilled this adorable Rosie digital stamp from The Paper Shelter fits so perfectly on this Anna Griffin Fantastic Flip card svg.  I have used this card base  many times in Cricut Design Space and it has definitely become one of my all-time favorites. The only downside is that its 5 x 7 dimensions restrict the size of the swing panels. But no worries... there's still plenty of room on this flip for lots of embellishments and birthday greetings.  After coloring Rosie with my Copics,  I set her aside while I glammed up her fancy digs.

This svg cuts lots of fun coordinating shapes to match the swing layers in the card.  I used  double-sided designer paper in my Cricut Maker to add variety to my layering. A layered Happy Birthday sentiment fits nicely on one of the inside panels.

I mounted Rosie on the front panel with mounting tape and my final step was attaching handmade sparkly Heartfelt Creation flowers to the front panels.  The flips and folds on this card definitely give it a fun "wow" factor for my recipient. I'm always fascinated by kinetic cards.  They're my fave!!!

Shine Fairy - Julia Spiri Digi

Let us be of good cheer, remembering that misfortunes
hardest to bear are those which never come.   Montaigne

Julia Spiri digi; Tattered Lace Pearl Square dies; Heartfelt Creations flower stamps, dies,
molds; butterfly punch, white gel pen, leaf punch, small flower punch, sentiment die

Hey there,

A beautiful wistful fairy in a magical garden is all I need when the world around me seems uncertain and perilous.  I colored THIS incredible grayscale image from Julia Spiri in one of my favorite soft color combos. The frame is created with two concentric square frames from the Tattered Lace Pearl Square Foundation die set.  My card base measures 6" x 6".

I recently spent a delightful day stamping, die cutting and molding my favorite Heartfelt Creation flowers.  Sooooo fun!   Check out the YouTube video in my Tutorial menu to see how simple and fun they are to make. Handmade flowers and handmade cards definitely go "hand-in-hand." ✋✋

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and dream of mystical fairies in a peaceful garden.

Let Love Bloom - Janna Prosvirina Big Eye Doll

Love is the master key which opens the gates of happiness.
Oliver Wendell Holmes

Janna Prosvirina digi, Copic markers, Cricut gate image for frame, Cricut writing feature,
gold leafing pen, white gel pen, acrylic hearts, red gems, red card stock, bokeh hearts digi paper

Hey there,

THIS enchanting fairy image by Janna Prosvirina stood out to me as a perfect image to create a special frilly Valentine.  Her luscious locks with cascading hearts are perfect adornments for a message of love and healing to my friend who is recovering from heart surgery.

After coloring the image with my Copics,  I sized an ornamental gate image in Cricut Design Space to frame her.  The sentiment was simple to print on a label using the Cricut writing feature.  I really love being able to print any message on an image from the Cricut library and size it to fit my card.  My image panel and sentiment are lined with a gold leafing pen and adhered with mounting tape for dimension.  I used a white gel pen to add pizazz to my lady's curls.  Small acrylic hearts and red gems add the final details.

My husband and I were elated to receive our second covid vaccine yesterday so we will be able to deliver this card in person soon, although we will still be wearing our masks for awhile until others get vaccinated.

It's about time for me to deliver my collected handmade greetings of love, by mail or in person, to my adored recipients.  I love this part of my card making hobby.  But most of all, I'm looking forward to some big, long awaited, in person hugs and kisses in the not-too-distant future!

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and let love bloom.

Let's Taco Bout Heart Day - Pop-Up-Box-Card Valentine

Lori Whitlock pop-up-box-card svg, Cricut Design Space sun and tacos, Cricut writing feature for sentiments,
orange and brown Tim Holtz distress ink, red check card stock, blue card stock. blue card stock

Hey there,

Who doesn't love a silly punny Valentine?!  My svg library is full of  Lori Whitlock pop-up-box-cards because they're my favorite "go-to" for impressive simple cards. This one is perfect for my darling hubby who loves tacos and silliness.  I changed up Lori's original card design with some images from my Cricut Design Space library because, although the smiley faces on the tacos in the original design are super adorable, I wanted mine to be less chatty.  I added some sunshiny cheerfulness to my back panel with a layered sun that matched my theme.  It's super fun browsing through the thousands of images in Cricut Design Space because there's always just the right image for any design.  These yummy looking tacos are in the "Fast Food" image set and the sun is in the "Ole" image set.

I sized the Lori Whitlock card base to create a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square card when folded.  I used the Cricut writing feature to personalize my sentiments.  The sun is embellished with shiny gold studs and both the sun and tacos are sponged with dye-based ink to give them dimension.

Taco bout fun!  Another fast and amusing punny Valentine for the books.

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and have some Valentine pun.
