Morgan's ArtWorld Butterfly Fairy - Fantasy Journal Pages

God's love is wrapping all around you whether you notice it or not.

Hey there from Nannyland,

The first time I saw a beautiful Morgan's ArtWorld digi image was in a card making class with my dear friend, Arlene, who has been a designer for Morgan for many years.  I was so impressed with her beautiful coloring and asked where her gorgeous stamped image came from. She told me it was digital art, which I knew very little about, and as our conversation progressed,  I learned she was a designer for Morgan.  I grilled her a little on what was required to become a member of this coveted design team and shortly thereafter, I was having my first designer experience creating cards for Morgan's ArtWorld using her incredible images.

I realized lately that I haven't colored a Morgan image in a while, so when I won this one on her challenge blog, I went right to work creating a journal page for my fantasy journal.  I found some intricate layered die cut butterflies in my stash that I used to replace her digi wings. I also added a vellum layered butterfly to coordinate with the lovely insects Morgan drew on her image  It was a delight zhuzing up her wreath crown with several small beaded die cut flowers.  On the opposite page, I created a butterfly and sentiment in Cricut Design Space and adhered it to a dp background.

I no longer design for Morgan's ArtWorld but you can check out my design team cards in the Labels side bar of this blog under Morgan's ArtWorld or in her fabulous shop here. I also encourage you to enter her wonderful monthly challenge here.

Thanks for visiting Nannyland.
I'll just be here blissfully creating until your next visit.

Morgan's ArtWorld Rose Slimline

Be a girl with a mind, a woman with attitude and a lady with  class.

Hey there from Nannyland,

As a Creative Team member for Morgan's ArtWorld a couple of years ago, I was privileged to design projects for Morgan Fitzsimons, an incredible  international artist and author who founded Creative Art  Design Studio. Her digital images are a delight to color, so when I won this sophisticated lady in a challenge a while ago, I knew I had to create some art.   She is called Rose and you can find her in Morgan's shop here.   You can also see my Morgan's ArtWorld Creative Team projects on my blog here.

I enjoy paper piecing on images where I'd like to add small details that would be hard to color, especially on clothing.   I did this on the belt and front panel of this dress and I really like the way it turned out.  This beautiful lady's hair is very wispy, so I colored it in blues and lavenders to show off the soft movement.  I gave her one of my Heartfelt Creations handmade flowers to carry to keep the whimsical feel.

Morgan's ArtWorld Rose digi, slimline frame dies,
Cricut Design Space writing and cutting features,
Copic markers, Heartfelt Creations stamp, die, mold

The length of this image fits perfectly on a slimline format so I chose slimline frame dies for her layered background. The sentiment was created in Cricut Design Space and cut with my Cricut Maker.

I'm on my way  to take to some cards and treats to some very special ladies at an assisted living facility today.  One of them is 95 years old!  Is there someone in your life who would appreciate the gift of your attention and one of your beautiful crafty creations?

Thanks for visiting Nannyland.
I'll just be here blissfully creating until your next visit.

Morgan's ArtWorld Fantasy Fae 23 digi stamp, Copic markers, silver foil card stock.
blue glitter card stock, gems, white gel pen, heart frame die, Cricut cutting and writing

Hey fellow creatives,

The August Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge begins today and I'm delighted to share my Design Team project with you. I chose THIS gorgeous Fantasy Fae 23 image to color with my Copics in shades of blue, green and lavender. All of her lovely details, especially her opulent hair and graceful wings, were absolutely amazing to color. She is fussy cut and mounted on a variegated panel edged with a silver die cut frame. The blue glitter card stock frame bordering the card base measures 5 x 7 and is embellished with silver and blue gems. The sentiment frame was also cut in Cricut Design Space and the sentiment was printed with the Cricut writing feature.

DT for Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge #7 - Morgan Fitzsimons Fantasy Fae Digi Stamp 16

Morgan Fitzsimons Fantasy Fae Digi Stamp, Heartfelt Creations flower stamps, dies and molds,
Cricut cutting and writing, Elizabeth Crafts Peel Off gems, clear rhinestones, Copic makers,
gold leafing pen, white gel pen, white glitter card stock, purple glitter card stock

Hey there,

Each time I color a Morgan's Fantasy Fae digital stamp with my Copics, I grow more enamored with  the beautiful detail in her incredible artwork.  This lovely fairy looks so ephemeral and regal with her bedazzled crown, I just had to place her in a magical garden where I imagine she rules as queen.  It's a dream I have in my own life but my family doesn't share the same vision.

I created the arbor in Cricut Design Space and decorated it with handmade Heartfelt Creations flowers and leaves.  Her crown is made of clear rhinestones and the beads in her hair are Elizabeth Crafts peel off gems.  I used the writing feature in Cricut Design Space for the sentiment.

Now it's your turn to use your imagination to create something fabulous for our challenge.

DT for Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge #6 - Morgan Fitzsimons Fantasy Fae Digi Stamp

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.  Eleanor Roosevelt

Morgan Fitzsimons digital stamp, copic markers, Heartfelt Creations flower stamps, die cuts and mold,
Ctricut Design Space card base, Cricut writing feature, Spellbinders frame, silver glossy card stock,
lavender, silver and blue glitter card stocks, white gel pen, gem for flower center

Hey there,

The amazing unicorn  in THIS stunning image by Morgan Fitzsimons was a little intimidating to color  because I need much more copic practice with animals, but he is so delightfully whimsical, I had to give it a go  A fairy and a unicorn together...how could I resist? I was surprised and delighted that this card came together fairly quickly.  I knew I wanted to use the round die cut frame and I was able to find a card base in Cricut Design Space that accommodated it perfectly. The sentiment was simple to size and curve around the frame using the Cricut writing feature.  I already had  the Heartfelt Creations flower in my stash  so all I had to add was a few silver glitter leaves.

The inside of the card is a square lavender glitter card stock panel which shows through to the front when the card is closed.  The card measures 6 1/2 x 6 1/2.

Hey there,

It's time again for another fabulous Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge.  I invite you to join us for our May Challenge #5, which runs from May 1 through May 27.   You're welcome to use any image and project you choose for this challenge.  I was delighted to color this classy  Cameo 14 image from Morgan's shop to inspire you.  I chose bold, bright hues to match her sassy style.   I adhered my fussy cut image  to  a vivid watercolor background with mounting tape for dimension. I bordered her with a white swirly Spellbinders frame and a lacy bejeweled 3D butterfly that mirrors her stylish body art. Both panels and the sentiment tag are edged with a gold leafing pen and the base of the butterfly is gold foil card stock.  I added white gel pen dots to jazz up her chic locks.

Now it's your turn to use your imagination to create something fabulous for our challenge.

DT For Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge #4 - Morgan Fitzsimons Fantasy Fae Digi Stamp

Morgan's ArtWorld Fantasy Fae digi stamp, Copic Markers, clear gems,
white gel pen, silver striped glitter card stock, water color designer paper (background)
Hey there,

I hope you and your loved ones are  healthy and calm while all the chaos swirls in the world around us.  I believe faith and hope are always the answer, with some fun time spent creating beautiful things to bring sunshine and peace to our souls.  Are you ready to do something fun that doesn't require you to share your "personal distancing" space? It's time again for another fabulous  Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge.

For our April Challenge, I have chosen THIS lovely fantasy fae image from Morgan's shop to inspire peaceful thoughts of a beautiful mystical fairy garden.  I colored my intriguing fairy with copics and created a black "iron" gate in Cricut Design Space to frame her. Four layers of black card stock are glued together to create dimension.  The bottom of my image is glued behind the gate and the top is raised with dimensional tape, just slightly overlapping it.  I embellished the ornamental swirls with clear gems and added a striped glitter card stock panel to my  5 x 7 card base for added sparkle.  I fussy cut the large rose from my image and mounted it to the outside of the gate with dimensional tape.

Now it's your turn to use your imagination to create something fabulous for our challenge.
