Wishing You a Pot O' Gold - Digi Doodle Studios Patty Leprechaun

May the dreams you hold dearest be those which come true,
and the kindness you spread keep returning to you.

Hey there from Nannyland,

Shamrocks and leprechauns and rainbows...Oh My! Another fun card crafting holiday is on the horizon and I'm knee deep in all things green in Nannyland.  This adorable image from Digi Doodles Studios is called Patty Leprechaun and she depicts everything delightful about this lively day of celebration.

I designed a shaped flip card base in Cricut Design Space and used digital designer paper with an Irish theme for the background panels.  The argyle print is very colorful and a bit busy, so I toned it down with a large sentiment panel on the inside of the card.  I edged all the card panels with a gold leafing pen and dry embossed the front panel with a celtic-style embossing folder.

A  close up of my image shows the Stickles in the center of the shamrocks on her skirt and clear gems in her shamrock bouquet and her hat.  I chose to color her tights and shirt in rainbow stripes to go along with the pot of gold theme.

I created a label in Cricut Design Space to match my card base and used the writing feature to draw the sentiment.  I love this feature in Cricut because I can create any sentiment I want and cut it out to fit my card dimensions.

What a delight it was to use Copics in bright greens, yellows and rainbow hues to brighten up one of the happiest holidays of the year.  Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!

Friends by Heart and Soul - Digi Doodle Studios Digi

True friends are never apart; maybe in distance but never in heart.

Digi Doodle Studio digital stamp, digi designer paper, Cricut Maker, Cricut Design Space cutting
and writing features, Copic markers, aqua gems, white gel pen, mounting tape, silver leafing pen

Hey there from Nannyland,

Valentine's Day makes my cardmaker's heart beat faster each year because it's a delightful pivot from the Christmas card-making frenzy to a calmer, more mellow mindset.  I'm always anxious to switch gears and create equally colorful and heartfelt cards for friends and family. Bring on the  red hearts, lace and cupids! One of my artistic passions is sending handmade love to people I adore by snail mail.

This darling Digi Doodles Studios digital stamp was a dream to color with aqua and pink Copic markers.  I sized a heart frame from the Cricut Image Library to fit a 6 1/2 inch square card and printed my cute girls in a size to entwine with my heart. I created the sentiment tag using the Cricut cutting and writing features.  I added sparkle by edging the card front panel, heart and tag layers with a silver leafing pen and zhuzhed up my hearts with aqua gems.  I cut out four heart bases and glued them together for dimension.

This is number one of several fun Valentine cards I have in mind to create before February 14.  I took some time off for eye surgery and have gotten a little behind,  but thankfully I'm back in the game,  so I'd better get creating!

Thanks for visiting Nannyland.
I'll just be here blissfully creating until your next visit.

Digi Doodle Studio Pop Up Box Card

Change always comes bearing gifts.   Price Pritchett

Digi Doodle Studios "Bringing Gifts" digi, Copic markers, Lori Whitlock pop up box card base,
Cricut, white gel pen, clear gems, digi snowflake paper, red card stock

Hey there from Nannyland,

This season's handmade cards are finally in the mail and my gifts are all wrapped and ready to deliver.  Since I had a moment to take a breath before all the joyful pandemonium starts, I couldn't resist creating one last holiday card with this darling Digi Doodle Studios image titled "Bringing Gifts." One of the greatest advantages to digi stamps is the ability to size them perfectly to any card base. I found this Lori Whitlock pop up box card svg in my library and exchanged the Santa image for this adorable  gift-bearing shopper. The tree and gift pop ups literally "spruce up" the cool snowy scene.  I found the perfect  "Bearing Gifts" sentiment in the Cricut Image Library.

This card was a fun and simple project to usher out a very eventful and challenging 2021. I'm praying by the time I start my Valentine's cards, our weary world will have some optimism and relief.   Bring on the mushy cards with hearts and cupids.

Thanks for visiting Nannyland.
I'll just be here blissfully creating until your next visit.

Miss You All Time - Digi Doodle Studios Coffee Confidential

Make new friends, but keep the old.  One is silver and the other is gold.
A circle is round, it has no end. That's how long, I will be your friend.

Digi Doodle Studios digi, Copic markers, Spellbinders frame die, glossy gold card stock,
Sizzix layered label dies, assorted gems, sentiment stamp, white gel pen

Hey there,

I'm loving a very rare snowfall outside my window this morning in my new desert home and I'm thinking about the lunches I've been missing with one of my sweetest friends back in my previous  home.  We used to visit for hours and solve all the woes of the world over a sandwich and coke.  I enjoyed an equally delightful lunch this week with a friend I've known for years who lives here in my new town.  I'm so blessed to have amazing friends who lift me up and make the world a better place for everyone around them.

I thought the cute ladies in  THIS Digidoodle digital image were perfect for a card to tell my friend  how much I miss her. On the inside, I beseeched her to come for a visit soon since we and our hubbies are all fully vaccinated. Yay!!!  I'm so excited things are opening up now and we can enjoy new adventures together.

I used a 6 x 6 card base for this card and framed the image with glossy gold card stock before mounting it to my favorite daisy Spellbinders frame.  I added gems to the daisies in the frame and some small ones to my image. My ladies' accessories are embellished with white gel pen dots and stripes.  I cut my sentiment stamp to fit a layered Sizzix label die.

I can't wait to see my friend sans masks in the near future.  I'm going to squeeze her like a bear and then we'll be off for one of our epic chattering sessions in a new place I've discovered that I know she'll love!

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and show your friends how much you appreciate and adore them.

We'll Always Be Friends - Digi Doodle Studios Maddy and Molly Digi Stamp

A circle is round, it has no end. That's how long I'm gonna be your friend.

Hey there,

My new digs are offering some exciting new adventures and amazing discoveries,  but none compare to one of  the biggest perks of my new location..  My dear friend and her darling family moved away from us (and broke our hearts) many years ago, and now to my delight, we're residing in the same fabulous city.  This lovely lady has stunning strawberry tresses and two little dogs that she and her husband spoil shamelessly.  When I saw THIS Digi Doodle Studios image, I knew it was meant for the card I would create to thank her for all the loving assistance she and her hubby offered us during our challenging move. Now, our lunch and shopping dates (masked and socially distanced, of course) are filled with the same laughing and lively chatter we enjoyed when we first met thirty two years ago.

I colored adorable Maddy and her precious dog, Molly, with Copic makers and  created an easel card scene in Cricut Design Space for the grinning duo to relax in.  I backed my card panels with silver foil cardstock and added a matching iridescent flower and silver glitter leaves to accent the cool tones of my color scheme.  Clear gems accentuate the adornments on their stylish coifs.   I was excited to find the perfect sentiment stamp in my stash,

One of my favorite things about crafting is I can create something personal, from my heart,  to express my love to a cherished friend. I'll deliver this one in person after we enjoy a long awaited dinner prepared in my pristine and barely used cozy kitchen.  I plan to have it well broken in by Thanksgiving.  Life is good!

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and cherish your friends, both of the old and new variety.

Welcome Autumn - Digi Doodles Fall Digi With Copics

“I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”  Henry David Thoreau

Hey  there,

I've been a little bummed that I didn't get to create my favorite Halloween cards this year,  especially since I've been receiving so many amazing ones in the mail from my artistic friends.  But I'm happy there's still plenty of time for some festive fall projects.  THIS little sweetheart from Digi Doodles Studio fit perfectly on a scalloped center step cut file I found unfinished in my Cricut project files, apparently abandoned last year due to lack of time.  I colored Patti during my move, while I was waiting to set up my new craft room, so all I had to do was fussy cut her and add her to some gold-edged pumpkin panels.  The Welcome Autumn was printed vertically with the Cricut writing feature.  I sponged some pale blue sky on the white panel with chalks.  A few tiny green gems embellish the pumpkins and Patti's hat.  The pumpkin leaves are tiny paper flowers cut in half.

I'm thankful I was able to pull off a fall card before all the Christmas madness commences.  The holidays have crept up on me this year and I'm ecstatic my craft room is ready for all the hubbub.

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and create a holiday masterpiece.
