An Apron Full of Love For Valentines Day - Make It Crafty Digital Stamp

The secret to living well and longer is: eat half, walk double, laugh triple and
love without measure.
Tibetan Proverb

Hey there from Nannyland,

I 💔 the season of amour and enjoy creating and sending heartfelt love notes to those who make my world a delightful place.  I think this "Marcy's Full of Love" digital image from Make it Crafty, with her apron brimming with hearts, is so sweet.  Her darling pose is perfect for the right panel of this side step card next to a big gushy Valentine message.

I used my favorite Copic shades to color my image and chose several light BG colors to create a shadow around her. When I have a small image like this, I enjoy coloring multiples because I can zone a little and savor the practice! I borrowed the side step card base and scalloped panels from this Lori Whitlock Valentine card bundle and cut them out in Cricut Design Space.  I used the writing feature to create the sentiment on the left panel. All the layers are edged with a gold leafing pen and the hearts on the image are glittered with Stickles. I added a sparkly acrylic heart and some tiny red heart gems for a little more glitz.

I made three of these cards and now I'm ready to move on to the next happy project.  Whew! Valentines Day will be upon me before I know it so I'd better hop to it!

Thanks for visiting Nannyland.
I'll just be here blissfully creating until your next visit.

Farewell to Make it Crafty Stamps - I love you

One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: That word is love.
            Sophocles

Make it Crafty digi, Copic markers, pink/aqua Nuvo drops, red acrylic hearts
Cricut Maker step card svg, bokeh Valentine digi paper

Hey there,

I had the best time choosing images from my digi library for my Valentine cards this year.  I found some delicious hidden treasures, including this fabulous Make it Crafty glamour girl.  Sadly, Make it Crafty is no longer in business so I'm happy I have many of their darling stamps in my stash.  Look at those adorable  Chucks!!!   I've been wearing Converse for many years and will still be wearing them when someone has to lace them for me, senior style code be darned! The shelf where they live in my closet is a rainbow of snazzy goodness.

My image takes center stage on this step card that I sized and cut out on my Cricut Maker. The finished card measures 6 x 6 1/2.   This fun image was a blast to color with my copics in  the colors of my bokeh Valentine digi paper. I repeated the red heart on her t-shirt throughout my card and "strung" the hearts on aqua and hot pink Nuvo drop beads.

Another bright, happy way to say "I love you."  I know just who I'm going to send this to.  So many people to profess my undying love for...so little time.

Thanks for visiting,
Go forth and spread some Valentine love.

Lotus Chilling on a Country Swing - Make It Crafty Digi's

Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace.

Copic markers, Make it Crafty Lotus and Country Swing digis, Spellbinder frame die,
Impression Obsession butterfly and flower dies, gold leafing pen, Nuvo drips, fun foam for mounting

Hey there,

I created this birthday card for a darling friend in my card making tribe ages ao and I'm happy to be finally posting it.   My birthday card theme this year is "charming images situated in idyllic scenes".  These adorable Make it Crafty digi stamps are perfect for that purpose.   I seated cute little Lotus on a country swing in the middle of a sunny garden to show off her perky style.  I edged the panel with gold and mounted it with a fun foam square on a lacy Spellbinders frame.  My pink card base is 6" x 6."

The tiny butterfly and flower dies are from Impression Obsession and are perfect for small details in a scene.

It's a cool, wintry day in California today (55 degrees--brrrrrr), but creating in my craft room makes me feel like I'm in a sunny garden every day!

Thanks for visiting,
Go forth and create a sunny day in your craft space.

Pondering in the Wetlands - Make it Crafty Digi Scene in Copics

Indulge your imagination in every possible flight.
Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice

Copic markers, Make it Crafty digi's, gold leafing pen, dragonfly die,
Spellbinders die, white glitter paper, blue card stock, white gel pen

Hey there,

I chose contemplative little Jacinta from Make it Crafty for my focal image in this birthday card for my crafty girlfriend, continuing my "girl in scenic setting" birthday series.   She looks deep in thought and this fancy fern log is a perfect place for her to indulge her imagination. I love red mushrooms with white dots but they've always seemed sort of fanciful to me.  However, I usually color my mushrooms that way because they are so bright and pretty.   I googled them and to my surprise I found out they actually exist.  They're called fly agaric, or fly amanita and they're hallucinogenic!  Literally magic mushrooms!  So yeah, she's sitting in the middle of magic mushrooms, but she obviously knows they're toxic so she won't touch them...at least not on my blog page.

I do love all the ferny foliage in this tranquil scene.  I added a die cut gold dragonfly with purple pearl accents for some extra dimension  As usual, I edged the image panel with gold  and backed it with a white glitter Spellbinders frame.

Another scenic birthday card in the books.

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and observe the pretty red speckled mushrooms...but don't touch!

Sitting Pretty - Make it Crafty Digital Scene with Copics

To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon verdure
 is the most perfect refreshment.
Jane Austen - Mansfield Park

Copic markers, Make it Crafty digi, Spellbinders frame die, gold metallic paper, blue card stock,
white glitter card stock, Impression Obsession flower die, Impression Obsession butterfly die,
Nuvo Drops, glitter glue

Hey there,

Birthdays are always a delight at my bi-weekly craft group because we each make handmade cards for the birthday girl.  In October we have three birthdays, so the artistic creations abound. My cards this year are similar in concept but individually as different as my dear recipients. In each I created a little scene with the focal character sitting in a pretty outdoor setting. What fun it is to dress up a cute lady and create a scenario for her...just like playing with Barbie!  Look for the other two cards in future blogs.

Emily is a digi from Make it Crafty and is obviously on her lunch break as her fancy garb suggests.  She is  raised with pop dots and is sitting very politely on this park bench admiring the lovely greenery and flowers.  I die cut this park bench scene  in an oval shape to allow the white glitter lattice frame to show through from  behind.  I edged the oval with a gold leafing pen and matted the lattice frame with a gold metallic panel.  The card base is pale blue to mimic the sky.  The darling tiny die cut flowers are from Impression Obsession and are so versatile, especially for small scenes like this one.   The centers are dotted with yellow Nuvo Drops.  The tiny butterfly is also from Impression Obsession and embellished with a dot of aqua glitter glue.

I hope my birthday friend finds time to chill on her special day like this cute little girlie.

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and enjoy the verdure,
Nancy

A Walk in a Digi Sunflower Garden - Make it Crafty Sunny Scene

A light heart lives long.
William Shakespeare

Copic markers, Make it Crafty digis, white gel pen, gold leafing pen
Hey friends,

Sunflowers are a favorite of one of my dearest friends so I knew exactly what I would color for her birthday card this year.  When I color an image for a card I always feel obligated to create a beautiful, comfortable place for them to live. Yes, I'm a little wacky that way but that's how I roll in my creative fantasy world.

I think charming little Abigail  from Make it Crafty  looks perfectly at home in this cheery sunflower garden.  I gave her some walking space in front of the garden fence with some foam tape.  I die cut the garden and background layers and added some gold leafing to the inner layer. I also die cut some craft foam to match the background shape and glued it to the card base to add some extra dimension.  I added white gel pen accents to my flowers and Abigail's dress.

A happy little flowery scene all ready for a birthday wish...
Happy summer, y'all.

Thanks for visiting.
Go forth and plant a sunny garden...in your yard or on a card.

Make it Crafty Classy Olivia Digi Stamp - Shopping in Paris

👉  Be your own kind of beautiful.

Hey there,

I have absolutely fallen in love with Make it Crafty digi stamps and backgrounds.  They make it so simple to create fabulous background scenes for  my cards. The downloads come in both jpg and png format so I can drop their darling images into an amazing background and create a one-layer card if I choose to. I can even zero in on part of a scene and size it to fit my card perfectly.  There are oodles of options for creativity! Check out this video on their site to see  how to use their png images in Word. It's simple and so fun!!! (I'm not selling these images...I just get excited when I see something I like.)

For this card, I chose to keep Classy Olivia and the Paris street scene separate because I wanted her to be the focus of my foreground. I sized the images  to fit a 5 x 7 card and my stylish little lady is about 5 1/2 inches tall, a perfect size for copic coloring.

Here's what I used:
  1.     Copic markers
  2.     This and this Make it Crafty digi stamp.
  3.     Hello die cut greeting
  4.     Metallic gold and black card stock for frames.
  5.     Gold dragonfly embellishment
  6.     Tombow Mono adhesive.
  7.     Pop dots for Olivia

I'll definitely be posting more of these cards soon because I'm truly obsessed.

Thanks for stopping by.
Go forth and create something fabulous.
